NEW Raymond Weil Freelancer Diver 2760 Limited Edition | Exclusive interview with CEO Elie Bernheim

We are so excited to be introducing you to the brand-new Freelancer Geneva from Raymond Weil. Not only is it a limited edition watch, the Raymond Weil Freelancer Diver 2760 has a beautiful story behind it - and we can’t wait to tell you all about it.

Whether you’re a keen diver or just like the look of diving watches, this new Freelancer Diver 2760 is one not to be missed. Talking us through this new timepiece is CEO of Raymond Weil, Elie Bernheim, who we were lucky enough to get an exclusive interview with. Exciting, right? Let’s dive in…

Let’s start from the beginning, tell us about this new watch and what makes it so special…

“The Freelancer Diver 2760 is our newest timepiece here at Raymond Weil. The inspiration comes from our deep-rooted connection with Geneva as a brand, but also as a family. But it’s the detail of the watch that makes it really special. Some of the most beautiful design touches are the blue gradient dial and water droplet date window.”

What does it mean to you to tell the story of Geneva through this new watch?

“Geneva has a rich history of watchmaking dating back to the 16th century, so capturing the relationship that Raymond Weil has with the city in this limited-edition timepiece is truly special. I have so many fond memories of Geneva and Lac Léman especially.”

What’s your favourite thing about the Geneva Freelancer?

(For us, it’s the Leman Lake-inspired blue dial!)

“The engraving on the back of the case of the Jet d’eau is very special. A hugely recognisable landmark of Geneva, and more personally, my hometown, I was born in Geneva, and it’s where I still call home today.”

Who do you think will love this watch?

“Someone looking to purchase a unique timepiece that is not only truly beautiful but also functional. The new Freelancer Diver 2760 is water resistant to 310m, the depth of Lac Léman, which is why it’s limited to only 310 pieces available worldwide. So if someone is looking for a timepiece that will become a firm favourite in their collection, this is the watch for them.”

What are your favourite current or upcoming luxury watch trends of the moment?

“I’m enjoying seeing the rise in popularity of our Freelancer family. As I’m sure true watch lovers will know, coloured dials are very desirable now, which has definitely influenced some of our latest timepieces, mens and ladies.”

Finally, what can we expect from Raymond Weil in the future?

“We have a couple more exciting releases before Christmas 2022, and as we move into next year we will be growing our product offering even further. Raymond Weil is one of the last family-owned watchmaking companies, the whole team are involved in creating new timepieces, from the initial design concept to the last quality check in Geneva.”

We absolutely love this new watch, and would love to know what you think too! Available to shop online and in-store now, be sure to share your new Raymond Weil with us on Instagram @beaverbrooksthejewellers #ByBeaverbrooks.
