World-renowned Swiss watch brand Breitling have just launched a range of new ladies and men’s timepieces to join their already-iconic Chronomat collection - and we’re here to tell you all about them.
Introducing the Breitling Super Chronomat Automatic 38 for her and the Breitling Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 for him. Offering exciting new features whilst still inkeeping with the Chronomat’s distinctive details, they’re definitely wish-list worthy watches. Let’s find out more about these exciting timepieces.
Breitling Super Chronomat Automatic 38
Ladies first. The new Super Chronomat Automatic 38 is designed to make a statement. Whether you’re pairing with a power suit or t-shirt and jeans, this watch will take you from day to night in never-ending style.
So, what makes it stand out?
Well for a start, it’s the first in the “Super” category of Chronomat watches with a dazzling diamond-set bezel. Who doesn’t love diamonds, right? Breitling have chosen sparkling oversized lab-grown diamonds; and for something extra special, you can trace both the diamonds and the 18ct red gold on the Super Chronomat Automatic 38 Origins from their origins all the way to the watch on your wrist.
What’s the difference between Super Chronomat & Chronomat?
You can tell a “Super” from the rest of the Chronomat family by the four ceramic rider tabs and onion-fluted crown. Not forgetting the rubber rouleaux strap is only available with the supercharged timepieces. With a 38mm case size, you can choose between an ice-blue or mint green dial, both of which come with a Rouleaux metal bracelet or rubber strap, or alligator leather in the colours blue and green.
Whilst the Origins timepiece boasts a silver dial with white Rouleaux rubber strap or beige alligator leather strap. All water resistant to 100m, these three new ladies’ timepieces are powered by the Breitling Calibre 17 automatic movement with a power reserve of up to 38 hours.
Breitling Chronomat Automatic GMT 40
A watch designed for pilots or those who love to explore, the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 is Breitling’s tribute to travel. Known as “a watch for every pursuit”, these five new Chronomat timepieces for men are meant to cross over between air, land and sea. With a practical size and understated style, it’s a sports watch worth having.
What we love about the new Chronomat
Well for us, it has to be the red GMT hand which stands out against the tone-on-tone 24 hour scale. Easy to read, you can see your current time and the local time at a quick glance, ideal for those on the go. The Breitling Calibre 32 powers the GMT complication, whilst the onion-fluted crown allows for easy time adjustments. And with an impressive 200m water resistance, you’re prepared for any adventure.
Subtle dial colours (including this year’s must-haves blue and green), combined with an all-steel case and Rouleaux bracelet pair well with any wardrobe. Sturdy enough for the gym, yet smart enough for black tie: if there’s one watch to travel with, this is it.
