Swiss watches with their own unique story, the Zenith watch company studio is based in Le Locle. Acclaimed as a ‘Master of Chronographs’, Zenith watches have set the benchmark for precision and accuracy with their innovative watchmaking, and you’re about to find out why…
Zenith’s unstoppable movements
With an uncompromising dedication to crafting the timepieces of tomorrow, it’s no surprise that Zenith watches boast some of the world’s most renowned and pioneering movements. With countless awards and accolades to their name, Zenith watches are prized possessions amongst many watch fans’ collections. They’re a must-have for those who are interested in some of the world’s most prestigious mechanical calibres.
When it comes to ultra precise movements, it doesn’t get better than the El Primero. First constructed in 1969 as the world’s first high-frequency chronograph movement, it set a superior standard in the world of watchmaking. In fact, it was so ground-breaking, that in 1999 when Zenith was purchased by the LVMH group, the movement was incorporated into many watches from different Swiss brands, such as Rolex, TAG Heuer, Parmigiani, and more.
The break-through El Primero movement paved way for Zenith’s mastery in chronographs and high-frequency creations. The watchmaker now has an extensive lineage of complex creations to their name, such as the Elite and Zero G calibres, and with a commitment to revolutionary watchmaking, we know that Zenith’s legacy is only getting stronger.
Now you know the Zenith movements, it’s time to meet the iconic collections that possess them…

Zenith Defy
Born in 1969, the Zenith Defy collection is inspired by the watchmaker’s signature innovation. A collection that was way ahead of its time, Defy is characterised by its 14-sided bezel, its sleek sports watch aesthetic, and its oversized, rugged design. The Zenith Defy watches still carry their original, futuristic and bold look, now combined with cutting-edge manufacture movements. With impressive complications and features, Defy watches boast a variation of openwork dials, integrated bracelets, and bolder, sportier characteristics.
This Zenith Defy Revival 37mm Automatic Watch is inspired by the first ever Defy diver’s watch, released in 1969. The stainless steel case houses the Elite 670 automatic movement, providing a power reserve of 50 hours, and boasting a water resistance of 600m - perfect for the modern-day diver. This faithful reinterpretation of the original model includes the same vibrant orange details, faceted case and unidirectional bezel. With bright colours and a legible dial, it’s the ultimate timepiece for those dark, underwater environments. It’s a truly impressive revival of an iconic watch.
Bold and striking, this Zenith Defy Skyline 36mm Automatic Watch showcases the classic 12-sided bezel and geometric lines of the Defy Skyline collection. Boasting the highly precise Elite 670 movement, it provides a power reserve of 50 hours and advanced technical accuracy. The stainless steel case and bracelet, statement blue hues and clean dial make it a wonderfully sophisticated, contemporary timepiece to treasure.
Zenith Pilot
Did you know that Zenith was the second watchmaker ever to provide wristwatches for pilots? The Zenith Pilot collection was created to honour the watchmaker’s history with aviation-inspired watches. Pilot Louis Blériot became the first person to pilot a plane over the English Channel in 1909, and did so wearing a Zenith watch - it featured large numerals, an oversized case and crown, and a classic, traditional aesthetic. It was designed for legibility and made easy to use, even with pilot gloves – these features live on in the Zenith Pilot collection today.
Audacious yet refined, this Zenith Pilot Automatic 40mm Ceramic Watch is just as high-performing in the cockpit as it is for everyday wear. With bold, luminescent Arabic numerals, a ceramic case and Cordura-effect rubber strap, it’s got everything you need for a perfect combination of comfortability and resilience. Driven by the high-frequency El Primero 3620 automatic movement, it comes with unstoppable accuracy and a power reserve of 60 hours.
This Zenith Pilot Big Date Flyback 40mm Ceramic Chronograph Automatic Watch features the exceptionally crafted El Primero 3652 automatic high-frequency movement with chronograph flyback functions and a 60 hour power reserve.
