Proposal Spotlight | Inspirational Engagement Photos
We absolutely love an engagement selfie and we know you do too, as we recently ran a survey and found that 42% of newly engaged people now take an ‘engagement selfie’ to share on social media.
With this in mind, we launched a nationwide competition to find the most inspiring selfie out there and we definitely weren't disappointed with the results. We had some amazing entries, which involved pets, helicopters, waterfalls and even princess castles, but we completely fell in love with this heart-warming proposal story from winners Liza and Ross and the stunning photos that came with it.
Ross thought of every little detail to surprise his loved one and even overcame his greatest fear, all to make her dreams come true...
After three very happy years together, Liza and Ross decided to hire the cutest camper van and travel around Norway. They planned to tick off seeing the stunning views at Trolltunga in Odder, one of the most beautiful scenic cliffs in Norway and something that Liza has always wanted to see. We’ll be adding this to our bucket list, after seeing these stunning images!
The Big Moment
The moment had arrived. Ross and Liza took a guided tour of Trolltunga and climbed to the top for six very gruelling hours through thick snow. Ross is absolutely petrified of heights, but he was determined to get to the top for the picture perfect view to ask the love of his life to marry him.
Once they reached the top, Liza sat on the edge of the rock, soaking it all in and Ross decided this was the perfect opportunity to propose and got down on one knee. Of course, Liza said yes and the whole guided tour began cheering and clapping!
These perfectly captured pictures made the happy couple clear winners for our competition and when we heard their proposal story we went weak at the knees! This unforgettable moment caught on camera won them a £2000 gift card to spend on their wedding rings at their local Beaverbrooks store in Milton Keynes.
The Wedding Rings
Liza and Ross chose a stunning platinum wedding ring each. We love the timeless feel of these classic designs. They'll make the perfect symbol of eternal love for their wedding day, as platinum is the most pure, rare and eternal metal of all.
Now they're firmly back on safer ground, they have exciting plans to tie the knot in Italy next September, revisiting where they first went on holiday together with a small and intimate wedding.
