Back to its roots
Taking inspiration from the legendary Carrera Pan Americana road race, the TAG Heuer Carrera was first launched back in 1963 as the brand’s original racing chronograph, and since then has become one of the most popular sport watches in the world.
Featuring a timeless design that’s elevated with outstanding performance, the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph watches reflect the original timepiece and the adrenaline-fuelled world of motorsport, with clean dials for easy readability both on and off the track. Sleek and refined aesthetic
With all the watches water resistant to 100m, the Carrera Chronograph follows an aesthetic that’s reminiscent of the original TAG Heuer Carrera launched in 1963. Crafted with a 42mm polished and fine-brushed stainless steel case, the sleek stainless steel bezel is designed without a tachymeter scale for a refined and elegant look.
Slightly bigger with a 44mm stainless steel case and a sporty tachymeter bezel, the Carrera Sport Chronograph still manages to boast a sleek look thanks to the alternating polished and fine-brushed finish on the case and the new H-shaped bracelet…
The new H-shaped bracelet
A streamlined H-shape stainless steel bracelet on both the Carrera Chronograph and Carrera Sport Chronograph watches creates a thinner and lighter feel on the wrist, with the Carrera Sport Chronograph boasting shorter lugs for even more enhanced comfort.
If a stainless steel bracelet isn’t for you, the black and rose gold Carrera Sport Chronograph version comes on a leather strap, and the anthracite and silver dial Carrera Chronograph versions are fastened with a brown alligator strap.
Calibre Heuer 02 movement
Just the flick of a wrist will keep your watch ticking for an impressive 80 hours, with the TAG Heuer Calibre Heuer 02 movement at the very heart of all the watches. Entirely Swiss-made in TAG Heuer’s Chevenez manufacture, it comprises of 168 components, including a column wheel and a vertical clutch for exceptional quality.
Why do we love it so much? You can see all the intricate details of the movement through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback.
Distinctive dials
When it comes to the Carrera Chronograph, you can choose between a black opaline, blue sunray brushed dial, anthracite sunray brush dial or silver opaline dial, all of which feature two ‘azurage’ subdials. A discreet date window is placed at 6 o’clock where a running small second hand can be seen.
The Carrera Sport Chronograph, on the other hand, comes in a deep blue, an on-trend muted olive green, or you can choose between two black versions - all with a fixed tachymeter bezel in either blue or black ceramic or stainless steel.
And, to top it off, all these striking dials are all protected by domed and bevelled sapphire crystal glass with double anti-reflective treatment.
