Swiss watch brand Breitling have released two iconic new collection of watches to join their already-iconic timepieces, and we’re here to tell you all about them. From timeless style to the need for speed, say hello to the Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 and the Breitling Top Time B01 Classic Cars.
Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42
Throwing it back to the early 1940s, Willy Breitling began designing a chronograph that would be functional but also undeniably elegant and infinitely wearable - in his words, “the unmistakeable stamp of impeccable taste.” He called this new line the Premier.
Fast-forward to 2023 and it’s fair to say the modern Premier is still in-keeping with Breitling’s original vision; preserving distinctive vintage-Premier details such as the smooth fixed bezel, twin-register dial, streamlined rectangular pushed and applied Arabic numerals. But what’s new?

Available in an array of dial colours and case materials, it’s clear to see that these timepieces are instantly iconic. Let’s start with the 42mm stainless steel case - choose from black, blue, copper, green or silver dials with a choice of classic alligator leather strap (in black or brown) or sleek seven-row metal bracelet. Moving onto the luxurious 18ct Red Gold models, also in a 42mm case size, these come with a silver dial and brown alligator leather strap or seven-row 18ct red gold bracelet. Featuring distinctive Premier numerals and a balanced date window at 6’o’clock, we’re already loving how timeless these watches are.

Breitling Top Time B01 Classic Cars

Willy Breitling felt this change of pace and set out to design an unconventional chronograph that would capture the verve of an era. He called it the Top Time.

The legends live on
Starting with the first generation Ford Mustang (produced from 1964 to 1974) which became the car of choice for hitting the road in 1960s America. This living legend is still in production, but car enthusiasts know that the coolest of all were those very first models that captured the freewheeling spirit of the sixties. Just like the Breitling Top Time B01 Ford Mustang.
Moving onto the Ford Thunderbird which was first unveiled at the 1954 Detroit auto show. It was touted as a fun-to-drive cabriolet that made its presence felt with its luxurious design, solid build and dramatic tailfin, just like the Breitling Top Time B01 Ford Thunderbird timepiece.
In the early 1960s, the Le Mans winner Carrol Shelby imagined a car that matched a small, light British-style chassis to a strong, reliable American big-block engine. When it was introduced in 1962, the Cobra met with instant success, both among sports car fans and on the racing circuit. It remains blisteringly fast and cherished by collectors to this day. From racetrack to wrist, the Breitling Top Time B01 Shelby Cobra is one to add to your luxury watch collection.
Last but by no means least, the second-generation Chevrolet Corvette from the 1963 to 1967 model year is the most sought-after version of the American legend. The “Sting Ray” took inspiration from a 1959 racing-model prototype. For 60 years, it has captured the imaginations of car lovers around the world with its perfect combination of a low-profile body and a powerful engine that delivers performance whether on the road or on the track. The Breitling Top Time B01 Chevrolet Corvette is a true representation of a legend.
These watches feature the colours and emblem of its classic-car counterpart as well as a perforated leather racing strap, speed-measuring tachymeter scale and contrasting “squircle” (not quite square, not quite round) sub dials that give the feel of vintage dashboard gauges.
