Tudor | New Releases From Baselworld

Stealing the show at last year’s exhibition with its still-sought-after Tudor GMT watch, we were excited to see what Tudor brought to the table this year.

Here’s our round up of Tudor’s new launches from Baselworld.

Tudor at Baselworld 2019

Tudor Black Bay P01

Based on a legendary prototype developed and proposed to the US Navy in the 1960s, this Tudor Black Bay P01 is a watch that has previously been kept in the brand’s archives.

With a contemporary sporty spirit, the Black Bay P01 reflects the exploratory nature of this prototype – a cross between a divers’ watch and a navigator’s watch. It’s this balance of adventure that lends the piece a strong utilitarian aesthetic - plus how cool is the fact it’s based on a 1960s prototype commissioned for the US Navy?

Dubbed the case “that changes”, the bronze case will produce a subtle, unique patina on every watch, based on your wearing habits.

We’re very much enjoying this striking colour combination; the exceptional detailing of the bronze hue, the stunning slate-grey and the graduation in the dial colour come together to create a thing of beauty.

Still retaining the instantly recognisable aesthetic of the Black Bay line, these new additions in satin-brushed yellow gold bring a luxurious warmth to the case and bracelet.

Tudor Black Bay Chrono S&G

Tudor’s first ever chronograph, first introduced in 1970, is now available in a steel and gold version.

tudorbaselworld

Bold and imposing, this daring Black Bay Chrono S&G chronograph combines the aquatic heritage of the Black Bay divers watch with the queen of the racetrack; the chronograph.

The result is a powerfully sporty timepiece with just the right amount of vintage flair. We love the brushed finish across the dial and the contrast of the gold subdials against the black.
