Icons within the diamond industry, we’ve been official stockists of Royal Asscher diamonds since 2021. Based in Amsterdam, Royal Asscher have been a family business, since they began in 1854. Responsible for cutting the largest and most famous diamonds in the world, including diamonds for the Crown Jewels, Royal Asscher have their own patented cut which radiates the most unique and breathtaking sparkle.

As a family run business of four generations ourselves, we were lucky enough to be able to sit down with Mike Asscher - who is sixth generation of the Asscher family and carries the family legacy with his sister Lita and father Edward. He gave us an insight on what diamonds mean to the family.

The Royal Asscher cuts
The collection of diamond rings feature the house’s five patent-protected diamond cuts, guaranteeing a gorgeous diamond. Royal Asscher diamonds showcase the Royal Asscher Cut, Pear Cut, Cushion Cut, Oval Cut, and Round Brilliant Cut. Each diamond boasts dynamic fire, sparkle, and brilliance that’s certain to take your breath away.
Royal Asscher Cut
The patented Royal Asscher Cut is the house’s successor to their namesake Royal Asscher Cut, created with a step cut to absorb light from every angle for an endless mirrored pool effect and kaleidoscope of colours. Only the most experienced diamond cutters can master the Royal Asscher cut, that boasts an additional 16 facets.
This Royal Asscher Platinum Diamond Solitaire Ring, pictured left, sparkles with a breathtaking Royal Asscher Cut diamond in the centre and is enhanced by dazzling diamonds that fall elegantly down the ring’s shoulders. You can definitely see the endless mirrored pool effect here which radiates breathtaking sparkle.

Meet the Asscher Family
Each family member plays such a huge role in the business. Siblings Mike and Lita and their father, Edward are the Presidents of Royal Asscher. Mike and Edward created the patented Royal Asscher Round Brilliant, Oval, and Cushion Cuts, that are a fresh take on the classic styles. Lita directs all of the collections, and her inspiration comes from nature, art, architecture and light. In turn, this inspiration creates designs that are classical and feminine, but with an iconic Royal Asscher twist.
